Whether you’re a newbie or you’ve racked up enough travel points to secure a first class seat for the rest of your life, it’s always a good idea to have a plan about what you’ll need to pack for your vacation. And because airports these days have stringent guidelines about luggage not just with the weight of your bag(s), but what you can bring along with you on vacation. “Toiletry requirements for flying state liquids, gels, aerosols, creams, and pastes must be 3.4 ounces (100ml) or less per container and must be in a one quart-sized, clear, plastic, zip-top bag.” And with all these rules to remember, Goodwill is here to help make sure deciding what clothing to pack is the least of your worries.
Weather – After you’ve performed a full Google search about what to do while spending time at your vacation destination be sure you take a few minutes to see what type of weather you’ll be having especially if your vacation spot is a beach. For those long days and nights on the beach, you’ll need a few pairs of shorts (not denim) and the same number of shirts to match. Also, be sure any of the t-shirts you bring match any of the pairs of shorts you’ll bring along. Don’t forget your swimsuit top can also be considered as a matching top to any pair of shorts.
Sundress – Not much says summer like a sundress, so you’ll want to make sure to include at least one of these feminine cuties to wear to dinner or any evening gathering such as going to a local club or bar.
Flip Flops – The most versatile shoe in your collection, flip flops can be worn in formal or casual settings and is the most comfortable shoe walking. Choose from plain or drip out with a little bedazzle on the front to give your outfit an extra pop! Either way, you decide, your flip flops serve up a large helping of ‘flawless’ while you’re enjoying your summer vaca!
Swimsuit & Cover-Up – It doesn’t matter if you’re a one or two-piece swimsuit person, Goodwill has an enormous selection of swimwear at rock bottom prices. And because our prices are so low, it’s okay to buy two or three suits with enough money left over to get a cool cover-up for all of them!
Extras – Defend yourself against those beautiful but potentially harmful rays of light with sunscreen and a few pairs of stylish sunglasses and a hat and put it all in a super cute beach bag brought to you by Goodwill.
And while we’re on the subject of packing, summertime is the perfect time to pack up all the unused or barely used items you have lying around in your closets, basements, storage bins or garages and bring them on over to Goodwill. When you donate to Goodwill, you’re making an environmentally sound decision to protect Mother Earth and her precious resources making the planet safer and more livable for the many generations to come. https://www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/donate/items-we-can-and-cannot-accept/
