Sweaters are the reason for the season

The holidays are a great time to add that little extra something to your outfits—like velvet pants or blazers paired with shimmery, sparkle tops matched with long dangling earrings. However, if you’re more of a conservative fashion person, it’s totally okay to ease into a festive holiday outfit by pairing a red, green, white or blue sweater with a great pair of jeans and a great scarf. Keep reading to see the top holiday sweater looks sure to put you in the mood to jingle a few bells this season.

Classic Solid Pull-over Sweater – You will never go wrong when you choose to rock the bells in a classic solid color pull-over sweater. A bright red or yellow pull-over sweater on top of a solid or flannel button up shirt is a for sure win for any holiday party or if you’re just in the mood to deck the halls. Wear with your favorite jeans or corduroy pants and seal the deal with a cute little ankle boot with a heel of your choice.

Oversize It – An oversized or off the shoulder sweater adds an extra feminine factor to your holiday fashion look especially when you decide to play with textures like a deep fleece oversized sweater to go with a wool skirt (long or mini) stressing a Christmas cozy look. Although it may not seem like it, you’ll spice things up when you attempt to stay within the same color palette including your oversized bubble coat and flat-heeled knee/thigh boots.

Glam It Up – Nothing says the holidays quite like a bold, bright color like red. This season go for that bold red pop when you choose a cardigan sweater or blazer you can dress up when you pair it with a sleek form fitting dark denim and over a shimmery button-up blouse. Add a bow or long tie to give your look a little more personality and throw in a few or ten shiny silver bracelets and a great pair of earrings to top it all off.

Now that the holiday season is fully upon us, please keep in mind that Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful for your donations and support all year round as well as during this special time of the year.
