If shorts are a staple of warm weather, then denim shorts are the life-line of the season! And although we all love our jean shorts, there are moments when we just need a few new ideas on how to give the denim shorts look a bit of a boost! We stumbled upon a few creative looks we thought we’d share with you all. Please feel free to share your ideas with us on our social media pages @cincigoodwill (Instagram) and www.facebook.com/cincigoodwill (Facebook). Meanwhile, take a look at a few of our favorite spring/summer jean short looks:
Off the shoulder top – If by some chance we get to once again enjoy outside concerts, festivals, or even BBQs, then choosing an off-the-shoulder top to wear with your jean shorts is a fabulous idea. Give your jean shorts a fresh update in an off-the-shoulder top, preferably in a fun floral or pinstriped design.
Button down – Button downs are so multi-faceted, they can be worn in professional settings, or you can “freak’em” to fit any informal environment. Tie up the front for a big knot in the front, tuck them in with a belt, or tuck in the front and leave the back out to hang. Whatever you decide, have some fun and breathe new life into your denim shorts look this spring/summer.
Denim on Denim – A lightweight denim top with matching denim sneakers is from head to toe cute! Get yourself a glue-gun and add a few bedazzled rhinestones to the pockets of your top, shorts, shoes, or all three, and walk into spring shining bright like a diamond!
Another way to shine bright this spring is to donate your gently used clothing, shoes, handbags, or household items to us. For more than 100 years, Goodwill has been a leader in promoting sustainable forever fashion to support our mission of providing vocational training and job support services to individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment. We can’t tell you how much we deeply appreciate your long-standing support! Also, please keep in mind due to Covid-19, there are a few items we are still unable to accept.
